Getting a Liberal Arts Degree

As a theatre arts major in the College of Liberal Arts, students receive professional training that falls within their major while getting a liberal arts education that lasts a lifetime. Students graduate not only as skilled artists, but also as critical thinkers, writers, and leaders.

Several students choose to enhance their education even more by participating in student-run organizations such as the Arts Quarter Collective, whose mission is to unite students between arts diciplines to create new collaborative work. The recently formed West Bank Arts Quarter puts theatre, dance, visual art, and music on the same map thorugh geographical proximity and closely tied interdiciplinary programming. Arts Quarter students are incouraged to explore all of the arts and may choose to take classes in photography, ballet, guitar, or even yoga or T’ai Chi.
